I work as a portrait artist completing a small number of portraits annually to commission. I work with acrylic paint, painting on cotton or linen canvas. The scale of my work is usually small, approximately 30cm x 30cm and is influenced by my painting technique, which is very considered, as I build layer upon layer of paint to give a rich, glazed appearance to my work.

A recent work 'Portrait of Louise' exhibited at the Royal Ulster Academy's 138th Annual Exhibition was awarded the prize for portraiture, sponsored by Ross’s Fine Art Auctioneers.
